About URLIFEBIKES Electric Bikes

What makes URLIFEBIKES different from other e-bike brands?

URLIFEBIKES focuses on delivering premium electric bikes designed specifically for UK commuters. Our models combine affordability with performance, offering 3-5 year warranties, built-in financing options (Klarna), and expert support. We test every bike in UK conditions to ensure reliability in British weather.

Are URLIFEBIKES electric bikes any good?

Yes! Our e-bikes are designed with UK commuters in mind. The URLIFE F1L (folding) and URLIFE T2 (mountain) have received positive feedback for reliability, build quality, and value for money. We offer free 30-day returns, so you can test yours risk-free.

How long do URLIFEBIKES last?

With proper maintenance, most URLIFEBIKES last 5-10 years. Batteries typically last 3-5 years (500-1000 charge cycles). All our bikes come with 2-3 year warranties covering manufacturing defects. We offer battery replacements and spare parts for at least 7 years after purchase.

Can I get an URLIFEBIKES electric bike on finance?

Yes! We offer flexible financing through Klarna. Pay in 4 interest-free instalments, or spread the cost over 12-36 months. No credit check needed for Klarna's "Pay in 4" option. Most customers are approved instantly.

Product Features & Specifications

What's the difference between the URLIFE F1L and URLIFE T2?

URLIFE F1L (£389): Compact folding design, 35km range, 20" wheels. Perfect for commuters who need storage and portability. Ideal for train commuters or small apartments.

URLIFE T2 (£799): Full-size mountain e-bike, 60km range, 27.5" wheels, suspension. Best for off-road riding and longer commutes. More powerful motor and larger battery.

What's the range on URLIFEBIKES?

Range depends on the model and conditions:

  • URLIFE F1L: 25-35km on a single charge
  • URLIFE T2: 50-65km on a single charge
  • Jansno X50: 40-50km on a single charge

Actual range varies based on rider weight, terrain, weather, and assist level. Most UK commutes are 10-25km, so even the F1L covers a full day with a morning charge.

How fast do URLIFEBIKES go?

All our bikes have motors limited to 25km/h (UK legal limit). This is the assisted speed—you can pedal faster, but the motor only assists to 25km/h. Most riders average 18-22km/h in mixed conditions.

Are URLIFEBIKES waterproof?

Yes, all URLIFEBIKES are weather-resistant and IP54-rated (splash and rain resistant). Motors, batteries, and connectors are sealed. We recommend avoiding submersion in water and drying the bike after heavy rain. Regular maintenance extends the lifespan.

What's the weight limit for URLIFEBIKES?

Weight limits are:

  • URLIFE F1L: 120kg maximum
  • URLIFE T2: 150kg maximum
  • Jansno X50: 130kg maximum

If you're near the limit, performance and range may be slightly reduced. Contact us for specific recommendations.

Battery & Charging

How long does it take to charge an URLIFEBIKES battery?

Most URLIFEBIKES batteries charge in 3-5 hours with the standard charger. Fast chargers (optional) can reduce this to 1.5-2 hours. We recommend charging at home or work—most chargers are lightweight and portable.

Can I charge my URLIFEBIKES battery indoors?

Yes! Our batteries are completely safe to charge indoors. They're lithium-ion (same as phone batteries) with multiple safety mechanisms. We recommend charging in a cool, dry place (15-25°C ideal).

How many times can I charge the battery?

URLIFEBIKES batteries are rated for 500-1000 full charge cycles (3-5 years of daily use). After that, capacity gradually reduces. A battery at 80% capacity still provides 4-5 hour rides. Replacement batteries are available and affordable.

What happens if I drop the battery?

Our batteries have protective casings. Minor drops are usually fine—the casing absorbs impact. If the battery stops charging or holding charge after a drop, contact us for a replacement (covered under warranty if defective).

Is it safe to leave my URLIFEBIKES plugged in overnight?

Yes, completely safe. Our chargers have smart cutoff technology—they stop charging once the battery is full and switch to trickle charge. You can safely leave it plugged in.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you deliver to my area?

We deliver across the UK mainland within 3-5 working days. Most e-bikes arrive fully assembled (95% ready). Delivery is free on orders over £200. Remote areas (Scotland Highlands, Northern Ireland) may take 1-2 extra days.

How are URLIFEBIKES shipped?

Bikes are professionally packaged and insured in transit. They arrive via courier with a signature. The box is sturdy and designed to protect the bike. Unpacking is easy—frame, wheels, and handlebars may need minor assembly (we include tools and instructions).

Can you ship to Northern Ireland or Scottish Islands?

Yes, we ship to all UK areas. Delivery may take 2-3 extra days and cost £15-30 extra (depending on location). Contact us for a specific quote before ordering.

What if my URLIFEBIKES arrives damaged?

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We'll arrange a replacement or refund. Damage claims are processed quickly—usually 5-7 days. All bikes are insured in transit, so there are no additional costs to you.

Can I return my URLIFEBIKES?

Yes! You have 30 days to test your bike risk-free. If you're not satisfied, return it in original condition for a full refund (minus shipping). No questions asked. See our Returns Policy for details.

Warranty & Support

What warranty comes with URLIFEBIKES?

All bikes come with:

  • 3-year frame warranty (manufacturing defects)
  • 2-year motor warranty (mechanical issues)
  • 2-year battery warranty (capacity degradation, defects)
  • 1-year components warranty (gears, brakes, etc.)

Extended warranties (up to 5 years) are available at checkout for £49-99.

What does the warranty cover?

Warranties cover manufacturing defects, electrical failures, and material faults. They do NOT cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidental damage or crashes
  • Misuse or neglect
  • Damage from weather exposure (rust from salt spray, etc.)

Minor adjustments and maintenance are not covered.

How do I claim a warranty?

Email us a photo and description of the issue. We'll assess it within 48 hours. If covered, we'll arrange repair or replacement at no cost. Most claims are resolved within 2-4 weeks.

Do you offer customer support?

Yes! Contact us via email (support@urlifebikes.co.uk) or live chat. Response times are typically 2-4 hours during business hours (9am-6pm, Monday-Friday). We also have a comprehensive help centre with video guides.

Can I get my URLIFEBIKES serviced?

Yes. We offer servicing packages and repairs. Annual servicing is recommended (£50-100) to keep your bike in top condition. We also ship spare parts and recommend local bike shops that can work on our models.

Safety & Legal

Are URLIFEBIKES legal in the UK?

Yes, completely legal. All our e-bikes comply with UK regulations (EAPC standard). They have 25km/h motor assistance, pedal sensors, and proper lighting. You don't need a license or insurance to ride them.

Do I need a helmet?

Helmets aren't legally required for adults in the UK, but we strongly recommend them. Children (under 18) must wear approved helmets by law. We offer quality helmets at checkout.

Can I ride my URLIFEBIKES on the road?

Yes, absolutely. E-bikes are treated like regular bicycles in the UK. You can ride on roads, cycle paths, and most trails. You cannot ride in pedestrian-only areas.

Do I need insurance for an e-bike?

Not legally required, but we recommend it. Home insurance sometimes covers e-bikes, but specific bike insurance (£30-80/year) offers better protection against theft and damage.

Is my URLIFEBIKES trackable if stolen?

Most URLIFEBIKES are compatible with GPS trackers (optional add-on, £20-50). Police recover 15-20% of stolen bikes with trackers. We recommend a solid U-lock and tracker for maximum security.

Maintenance & Care

How do I maintain my URLIFEBIKES?

Basic maintenance includes:

  • Clean regularly (avoid high-pressure hoses on motor/battery)
  • Check tyre pressure monthly (PSI varies by model)
  • Clean and lubricate chain every 100-200km
  • Check brakes regularly
  • Store in a dry place

We include a maintenance guide and tools with every purchase.

What tyres do URLIFEBIKES use?

We use quality all-terrain tyres (Kenda or similar). Replacement tyres cost £25-50 each. Most tyres last 2,000-5,000km depending on terrain and conditions.

Can I upgrade components on my URLIFEBIKES?

Yes! You can upgrade saddles, handlebars, grips, and pedals. Motor and battery upgrades are available for older models. Contact us for compatibility before purchasing.

Is my URLIFEBIKES good in the rain?

Yes, they're weather-resistant. Ride safely—wet surfaces reduce braking power. Dry your bike after heavy rain. The electrical components are sealed and won't be damaged by rain.

Performance & Riding

How long will a ride take with motor assistance?

E-bikes make you faster. A 10km commute might take 25-30 minutes on a regular bike but 15-20 minutes on an e-bike. Actual time depends on terrain, weather, and your fitness level.

Can I ride my URLIFEBIKES without using the motor?

Yes! Turn off the motor and ride like a regular bike. The extra weight (10-15kg) makes it slightly harder, but you can still pedal and ride normally. Great for exercise or battery conservation.

What's the best assist level to use?

Most riders use Level 2-3 assist for commuting. Level 1 is for flat terrain, Level 3-4 for hills. Experiment to find what feels right for your legs and your battery needs.

Can I ride my URLIFEBIKES uphill?

Yes, all URLIFEBIKES handle hills well. Motor assistance makes climbing much easier. Steep hills reduce range by 20-30%, so adjust expectations accordingly. The T2 model handles hills best due to its more powerful motor.

Is an e-bike good exercise?

Yes! E-bikes are actually great for fitness. You're still pedalling and burning calories (typically 300-500 per hour of riding). The motor assistance lets you ride longer and more frequently without exhaustion—perfect for building fitness gradually.

Comparison & Buying

How do URLIFEBIKES compare to other brands?

We offer the best value-for-money e-bikes in the UK market. Compared to premium brands, we save 30-40% through direct sales. Compared to budget brands, we offer better quality, warranty, and support. Most customers save £500-1000 vs. other brands.

Should I buy a folding or full-size e-bike?

Choose folding (URLIFE F1L) if: You need storage, take the train, have a small apartment, or want portability.

Choose full-size (URLIFE T2) if: You want maximum range, comfort, off-road capability, or have space for storage.

Can I test ride an URLIFEBIKES before buying?

Not in-store, but we offer a 30-day return policy. If you're not happy, send it back for a full refund. This is better than a test ride—you get to use it in real conditions.

What accessories should I buy with my URLIFEBIKES?

We recommend:

  • Quality U-lock (£30-50) for security
  • Lights (front + rear) for visibility
  • Helmet for safety
  • Mudguards (often included)
  • Lock (sometimes included)
  • Repair kit and spare inner tube

All available at checkout.
